Our localization expert Dr. Markus Pichler-Scheder presented two innovative contributions from LCM at the IEEE International Conference on Measurement Technology (I2MTC 2024).
🎤 In his talk, Dr. Pichler-Scheder showcased the UWB (ultrawideband) localization system developed within the AWARD-H2020 project. This system significantly supports the position estimation accuracy of autonomous transport vehicles in the surroundings of logistics hub loading bays. The respective measurements have been carried out at the site of our project partner DB Schenker.
🖼️ At the poster session, he introduced an innovative radar-based localization method featuring a Viterbi algorithm. This approach significantly improves position estimates, especially in setups with wide radar receiving antenna distances.
Attending this major conference and networking with experts from diverse measurement fields was an incredible experience!
